Microsoft releases its next-generation Windows - Windows 11 Release

Microsoft is set to release its next-generation Windows 11 stable release on October 5. Microsoft announced in its official blog post. Windows 11 was first released in Dev and beta preview but now it is going to be released in a Stable state which means it will not have any bugs and it will be as stable as Windows 10.
When will you get Windows 11?
The free upgrade to Windows 11 starts on October 5 and will be phased and measured with a focus on quality. - Microsoft stated. “New eligible devices will be offered the upgrade first. The upgrade will then roll out over time to in-market devices,” adds the blog post. That means new eligible devices will be offered the upgrade first. The upgrade will then roll out over time to in-market devices based on intelligence models that consider hardware eligibility, reliability metrics, age of the device, and other factors that impact the upgrade experience. The software giant is doing its utmost to make its release a success and to please its users.
It is expected that all eligible devices to be offered the free upgrade to Windows 11 by mid-2022. If you have a Windows 10 PC that’s eligible for the upgrade, Windows Update will let you know when it’s available.
Point to be noted:
Now, the point to be noted in this release is that all the features that were introduced in Dev or beta preview may not be available in the stable release of October 5. Though you will get all new Start menu, New UI, and themes on the 5th October release, the most awaited feature - To run Android apps on Windows will not be released. The redesigned Microsoft store will be released but support for Android will be released sometime in 2022. But Windows Dev and Insider users might get earlier than other Windows users.
How to know whether you are eligible for an update or not?
How will you know the Windows 11 update is available on your Windows 10 machine? Well, you will receive a notification when the update is available for you. For the user who is eager to know, they can head to Settings -> Windows Update and click the Check for Updates button to see if you can upgrade. Also, check out the minimum requirements to run Windows 11. Microsoft is making sure that every eligible Windows machine can get the upgrade. So, don't worry!

What if my PC doesn’t meet the minimum hardware specifications? Can I stay on Windows 10?
If your PC/Laptop doesn't meet the minimum system requirements and is not eligible for Windows 11 upgrade, then you can continue to use Windows 10 only. Windows 10 continues to be a great version of Windows. Microsoft has committed to supporting Windows 10 through 14 October 2025.
