So how to check if the files are safe and the website is genuine?

To check do the following steps:

  1. Open your browser and in the search bar paste the following URL: virustotal.com/gui/

  2. Then, select the files section to scan files or select URL to scan for website genuiness.

  3. Upload the file and it will scan the file for viruses or copy the website link and paste it in the URL section to scan website.
