Unveiling the Google Pixel 8 Series: A Sneak Peek at What's to Come
Google Pixel 8 and 8 Pro |
Introducing the Highly Anticipated Google Pixel 8 Series
In recent weeks, the much-anticipated Google Pixel 8 lineup has garnered
widespread attention, hardly surprising in the tech world. The leaks and
rumors have been so prolific that a comprehensive 360-degree view of the Pixel
8 Pro briefly surfaced on the official Pixel Phone Simulator website. As we
eagerly await the official launch event for the Google Pixel 8, the company
has decided to tease the upcoming devices along with a range of exciting
products. Let's delve into the details below!
Previewing the Upcoming Google Pixel 8 and 8 Pro
To offer us our first official sneak peek at the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro, Google
turned to X (formerly known as Twitter) and YouTube to release a concise
teaser video. The video showcases the vanilla Pixel device featuring a glossy
rose-colored glass back, while Google has reserved the "premium" matte glass
finish for the "8 Pro" variant.
Consistent with earlier leaks, the
Pixel 8 and 8 Pro will maintain the design language of the Pixel 7 series
while introducing subtle refinements. Notable changes include the noticeably
more rounded edges on both Pixel 8 devices compared to their predecessors.
Additionally, it's evident how compact the Pixel 8 is in comparison to the
Pixel 8 Pro. Furthermore, the Pixel 8 will retain a dual-camera setup akin to
the Pixel 7, while the 8 Pro is set to incorporate a triple-camera array,
rumored to include a periscope lens and a temperature sensor.
Beyond
aesthetics, it's known that Google will equip both smartphones with its highly
anticipated Tensor G3 chipset. The Pixel 8 is expected to feature a
6.17-inch display, while the Pro variant will boast a 6.7-inch screen.
Save the d8.

In a separate teaser video, Google offered a glimpse of the Pixel Watch 2 and possibly hinted at a new color variant for the Pixel Buds. The second-generation Pixel Watch is rumored to support the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chipset, feature a larger 306mAh battery, and incorporate an Ultra Wideband (UWB) chip. It will come pre-installed with Wear OS 4. Unfortunately, detailed information on the next-gen Pixel Buds remains elusive at this time.
