In this article, I am going to show you how to download YouTube videos to your internal storage. So that you can access them anytime on your device offline.
How to download YouTube videos?
There are two ways to download videos:
- Using VLC Media Player
- Using Y2Mate YouTube Video Downloader.(Best method)
Note: In this article, I have mentioned only the easiest and the most reliable methods for you. There are more methods of downloading too.
So let's start with our first method:
VLC media player
This method works best for the users who have the VLC media player already installed and doesn't have a firefox browser. As this method doesn't work in the Firefox browser, unfortunately. So, use the second method instead if you don't meet the above requirements.
Step 1: Open the YouTube video that you want to download and copy its URL from the search bar or click on the share option and select the "copy link" option. It will copy the URL to your clipboard.
Step 2: Open the VLC media player. If you're on a PC, click "Media" at the top of the screen, and then "Open Network Stream." If you're on a Mac, click "File" at the top, and then "Open Network."

Step 4: After a while, your video will start playing. If you're on a PC, click "Tools" at the top of the screen, and then "Media Information."
If you're on a Mac, click "Window," and then "Media Information."
Step 5: A dialog box will appear. In that, at the bottom of the box, you will find the "Location" bar, beside that there will be a URL
Instant tip: Click on the URL and press Ctrl+a+c key combination for PC users to completely copy the URL.
Step 6: Copy the URL from the box and paste it into your browser.
Step 7: You will be directed to a page with the video playing. Click on the three stacked dots on the bottom right side, and click "Download."
The video will be downloaded to your computer as an .MP4 file. Now, you can access it offline!
Note: This method doesn't work in the Firefox browser, as there will be no option to download the video. (Consider using the second method)
Y2Mate YouTube Video Downloader (Best method):
Unlike the first method, this method works on every browser. It doesn't matter in which browser you are! You just need an Internet connection!
Y2Mate is the website where you can download videos for free. But it has a lot of ads popping up all the time! So I suggest you use an ad-blocker extension if you are going to use this method too often
Step 1: Copy the URL of your video from the search bar or click on the share option and select the "copy link" option.
Step 2: Go to the Y2Mate YouTube Video Downloader website.
Step 3: Paste the URL which you copied
Now, Y2Mate YouTube Video Downloader will analyze your link. If it's valid, then it will suggest different quality formats.
Step 4: Now select the format and quality you want
Step 5: Click on "Convert", then it will process and give you the option to Download.
Step 6: Click on "Download" and it will start downloading.
After downloading is complete, head over to your downloads folder. Now, you can see your video downloaded in your desired format.
